New Beginnings

Welcome to my mid-life crisis.

I’ve always loved photography and videography / cinematography. My uncle taught photography and film development among other things, and my mom had a nice camera when I was a kid. I made a couple of fun movies for school projects using my dad’s camcorders. I never invested in a good camera, though, relying on disposable cameras in my teens and twenties to document special events. Then the digital age struck. Cellphones are fun, and when the cameras started to really get good, I felt that itch to dive the art that I avoided.

I told myself I need a good camera to make videos for teaching and maybe to start a YouTube channel, and then an obsession began. Eventually, after taking a number of videos of family, I realized that I particularly enjoyed locating impactful stills in the videos . . .
